Moscow Center for Fundamental and Applied Mathematics at the INM RAS announces the 2020 contests in five nominations (without deadlines). The requirements for each are described below. - Young researcher
Young scientists (up to 35 years old) are invited to this position. Position is offered for one year with the possibility of renewal. The following are the requirements for applicants holding a position for one year. It is allowed to occupy a position for a period of less than one year, when working part of the position can be taken part-time (with a proportional decrease in the stated requirements, primarily in terms of the number of publications).
• It is necessary to publish (as a submitting author) at least one article affiliated with MCFFM-ICM in journals of the first or second quartile.
• It is necessary to closely interact with one of the research groups of the INM RAS, which is most interested in the proposed topic (interaction is expressed in regular participation in seminars, discussions, applications, joint projects, etc.).
• It is necessary to actively participate in activities and / or organization of events (seminars, lectures, speeches, excursions, etc.) aimed at attracting talented
youth in MCFPM-ICM and increasing interest in the studied scientific problems.
• It is necessary to develop already established or organize new cooperation with foreign scientists (joint projects, applications, publications, etc.).
• It is necessary to participate in scientific conferences in Russia and abroad to report results to the scientific community, as well as to undergo international expertise.
2. Lead researcher
Well-known scientists are invited to this position with the aim of organizing new research areas or significant reorganization of existing areas. Position offered
for one year renewable. The following are the requirements for applicants holding a position for one year. • It is necessary to publish at least three articles with affiliation of MCFFM-ICM in first or second quartile journals.
• It is necessary to organize a new collaboration of the INM RAS with the advanced (theoretically or technologically) by foreign scientific groups (joint projects, applications, publications, etc.).
• It is necessary to closely interact with one of the research groups of the INM RAS, which is most interested in the proposed topic (interaction is expressed in regular participation in seminars, discussions, applications, joint projects, etc.).
• It is necessary to actively participate in activities and / or organization of events (seminars, lectures, speeches, excursions, etc.) aimed at attracting talented
youth in MCFPM-ICM and increasing interest in the studied scientific problems.
• It is necessary to participate in scientific conferences in Russia and abroad to report results to the scientific community, as well as to undergo international expertise.
• It is necessary to present research topics at a popular level in the media to increase the ranking of the INM RAS.
3. Business trips to scientific events
Business trip offers are accepted from the staff of the INM RAS and Moscow Center of fundamental and applied mathematics at INM RAS. Plan for the current calendar year is drawn up in January. Resource support is provided in if the event is approved by the competition committee.
4. Organization of scientific and scientific-educational events,
seminars and lecture cycles, inviting famous scientists
Proposals for events are accepted from the staff of the INM RAS and Moscow Center of fundamental and applied mathematics at INM RAS. Plan for the current calendar year is drawn up in January. Resource support is provided in if the event is approved by the competition committee.
5. Priority research projects
A small number of umbrella (covering a fairly large subject area) scientific projects are being formed. Financing of the project from the Center should be directed
to achieve its goals – attracting and consolidating youth, developing and deepening international cooperation, intensifying interdisciplinary and applied research.
The distribution of funds within the project for the current year is presented by the project participants for consideration to the tender committee in January.
