The first International conference on tensor methods for mathematics and artificial intelligence was held at the Shenzhen MSU-BIT University.
The educational part of the school was held from November 11th to 16th and included six mini-courses and four review lectures on various topics. Some of the most prominent scientists were invited as speakers, including the director of the Institute of Numerical Mathematics at the Russian Academy of Sciences and a professor at Lomonosov Moscow State University, E.E. Tyrtyshnikov. Also, there were other prominent speakers such as Yao Xin, who is a winner of the Rosenblatt Medal from the IEEE Society and the vice-rector of Lingnan University in Hong Kong. Additionally, S.I. Kabanikhin, a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Science, and M.A. Shishlenin, a professor of the Russian Academy of Science, also participated. Young researchers such as A. Beznosikov, E. Atamasa, S. Matveev, A. Osinsky, and S. Morozov also taught at the school. The students attending the school consisted of around 50 individuals from top universities and research institutions in Russia and China, who were selected through a rigorous application process.
The scientific part of the event took place from November 18th to 20th, with 24 oral presentations and 20 poster sessions. It was a pleasure to note that some of the speakers were world-renowned professors, such as Prof. Lieven De Latauer from the University of Leuven, Prof. Michael Kwok-Po Ng from Baptist University in Hong Kong, Director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence at BEAC, Ivan Valerievich Oseledets, and Professor Yiming Wei from Fudan University.
