Summer School “Matrix methods and Modeling in Life and Earth Sciences”

Admission to the summer school “Matrix Methods and Modeling in Life and Earth Sciences” at Sirius University of Science and Technology has been announced. The organizers of the event include the INM RAS, Moscow Center of Fundamental and Applied Mathematics, the Lomonosov Moscow State University, MIPT and Sechenov University.

The dates for the event are August 6-19, and the application deadline is until June 19th.

The additional educational program is designed for undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students who have a basic understanding of linear algebra, mathematical analysis, numerical methods, and programming. This module will introduce students to the latest fundamentals of computational mathematics and the technologies needed to construct and computerize computational models.

To participate in the student selection process, you will need to prepare a resume and a motivational letter, as well as complete 8 tasks. Details about the selection process, information on preparing a resume, writing a letter, and the tasks themselves can be found on the program’s website.

Program managers include Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, E.E. Tyrtyshnikov; Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Yu. V. Vasilevsky; Professor A.V. Setukha; and Professor, RAS A.S. Gritsun, who are all experts in their fields.
For students at Moscow State University (MGU), Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), and Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (MGMU), participation in the summer school also provides an opportunity to better get to know the professors from these specialized departments.
